Made from the finest organically grown spring buds and young leaves of the tea plant, this exquisite, minimally oxidized white tea hails from the Kanchanjangha Tea Estate situated in the foothills of Mt. Kanchanjangha in eastern Nepal. Its light, golden liquor has notes of vanilla, spring blossoms and silky sweet butter.
The Kanchanjangha Tea Estate was established in 1984 as a co-operative designed to strengthen and sustain a higher quality of life for the inhabitants of this rural, mountainous community. Proceeds from the sale of the estate's teas stay in the community and are pooled to provide essentials such as: education for the children of the co-ops full time farmers; shelter and subsidized food for the workers; the establishment of a cow bank that provides farmers and their families with added resources and income; clean and safe drinking water and so much more. - Carefully steep 2-3 grams leaf with 180F degree filtered water for 3-4 minutes. Enjoy 3-4 re-steeps. Experiment with different steep times to reach desired flavor.
