Presumably named after Charles Grey, the second Earl Grey in power during the early 1800s, this tea is a combination of black teas with an infusion of citrusy bergamot oil. Ours is an blend of bold, organic Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and Chinese black teas, infused with natural essences of bergamot oil for an exceptionally bright aroma and rich taste. This classic blend is used to make a "London Fog" with the addition of steamed milk and vanilla syrup. It is also commonly used in recipes for cakes, chocolates, savory sauces and even cocktails.
