This handpicked, hand-crafted organic black tea was grown in the misty Jing Mai mountains at an elevation of about 5000 feet. Considered a wild tea, this style of tea was originally referred to as Eastern Beauty in the 18th century when it was being made for and exported to the British. The loosely wound large leaves (Da Ye) yield a golden-amber brew with notes of plum and apricot while having very low astringency. The liquor is exceptionally silky and leaves a gentle, very subtle earthy-sweet finish.
